rom1961 is a brand of the Belgian upholstered furniture specialist rom. The company is an international family business founded in 1961 and based in East Belgium. About 850 employees fulfil 30,000 wishes of discerning customers from 27 countries every year in individual production at several locations. rom1961 was launched in 2021 as a new premium brand.

Covers and feet: Feet in wood and metal in various designs and over 350 different covers: Decorative flat weaves, robust flock fabrics for households with animals, easy-care leathers, pattern fabrics, vegan leathers, etc. Seating comfort: 3 different upholstery variants to choose from: Viscotex, Dynaspring and Boxspring.

What functions can I choose for my rom-1961 sofa?

We offer various manual and electric functions for all rom1961 models, such as an extendable reclining seat or a seat surface enlargement. All electric and manual functions can be optionally selected per seat. For example, you can configure an electrically extendable reclining seat on the outside left seat of a sofa and a manual headrest on another seat.

Yes, all rom1961 products have been awarded the Golden M by the Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel e.V. (German Furniture Quality Association). This is an award for tested furniture that meets strict criteria in terms of quality, safety and health/environmental protection. In addition, all rom1961 products are tested with emission class A.

Are rom1961-covers easy to care?
Ja, alle unsere Stoffe und die meisten unserer Leder sind besonders alltagstauglich und insofern auch besonders pflegeleicht: Sie verblassen – wenn überhaupt – nur wenig, neigen nicht zur Pillingbildung (“Knübbelchen”) und Flecken lassen sich meist nur mir Wasser oder ein wenig Reiniger restlos entfernen. Viele unserer Bezüge führen zudem internationale Qualitätssiegeln wie Q2, aquaclean, easyclean etc.
I have pets: Are there special robust covers for them?
Of course, we also have a suitable cover fabric for households with dogs and/or cats. This flock fabric is designed to be difficult to scratch and pet hair is particularly easy to remove.
